The purpose of this blog is to SPREAD the word about MAP (Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis).

MAP is the cause of Johne’s disease, a severe inflammatory disorder found in animals, especially dairy cattle. MAP has been found in cold water tanks, retail milk, raw milk, raw cheese, tap water, sewage treatment works and numerous rivers used for domestic water supply.

MAP is also found in the intestines of IBS and Crohn’s sufferers. MAP has been largely dismissed as a cause of Crohn’s/IBS, because no one knew how this enigmatic bug caused disease… but that’s about to change!

Via this blog and privately funded research, I will detail and expose the overwhelming and indisputable evidence that MAP is the cause of Crohn’s and IBS, and MAP causes disease via attaching itself to the gut lining and producing acid (similar to the way tooth decay is caused) that burns the lining leading to inflammation and even ulceration as seen in Crohn’s.

Hundreds of millions of people suffer from IBS and over ten million suffer from Crohn’s, and the incidence of Crohn’s/IBS is increasing. Every day millions suffer silently from abdominal pain, diarrhea and constipation, with but with increased awareness of MAP, I’m certain one day we can develop an effective cure!
